Dealing with Difficult Volunteers

Trainer: Steve Blackman – Volunteering Bradford CEO

This workshop will equip you with a range of tools for dealing with difficult situations involving volunteers. We will look at good management practice, identify strategies for dealing with difficult individuals and identify best practice when ending a volunteering arrangement.

Greater understanding of good volunteer management practices and an increased confidence in dealing with difficult behaviour.

Support and Supervision of Volunteers

Trainer: Lorraine Greenald – Volunteering Bradford

Date: 12th March –

This course is aimed at organisations that work with volunteers or are planning to work with and manage volunteers. It will consider some of the factors that motivate volunteers; look at the support you will need to put in place to get the best from your volunteers and examine different models of supervision for volunteers. There will be opportunities to explore examples of best practice as well as share the ideas and experiences of others.

The Course will cover

· Some of the reasons why people volunteer

· The difference between support and supervision

· Different methods of supporting volunteers

· The key elements of effective supervision

‘Basic Awareness – Safeguarding Adults’

This is a 3 hour course for anyone who works or volunteers with a service that supports ‘adults at risk’. This training can be delivered at evenings/weekends or during the working week at a venue convenient to you.
